North America? More like North Korea. Here’s everything you need to know about Project 2025.

Recently on social media and all across the internet, Project 2025 seems to be resurfacing. And I see resurfacing because it has existed for decades, but now Trump threatens to implement this plan. So before voters decide, here is everything you need to know about Project 2025.

Project 2025 is a presidential transition project. For years, they have been waiting for the perfect republican candidate to show their face– and Trump has caught their eye. Trump denies any connections to the radical proposal, but it “has been authored by at least two dozen members of Donald Trump's administration and allies” (1).

Although he denies the rumors, his “official campaign plan called Agenda47 aligns with several proposals in Project 2025”.

The Government

Starting strong, Trump’s Agenda 47 and Project 2025 both plan on dismantling the Department of Homeland Security and bringing it directly under the President to move forward with their conservative plan. An immediate deportation of unattended children and increased funding for “the wall” between the States and Mexico is also included.

But, it only gets worse.

Trump wants to redirect power to the executive branch by taking away “civil service protections that have been in place for more than 140 years”.

This much power under the hand of one person is surely a disaster waiting to happen, removing the checks and balances system we currently have, which ensures that no one branch overpowers the others.

Yet that is exactly what he plans on doing.

Health and Public Services

Both Trump and the creators of Project 2025 agree on eliminating the Department of Education. For many, this means no more public education, threatening to leave much of the future young generation illiterate. Instead, they encourage parents to take the reins when it comes to their child’s educational needs and “to choose a set of education options that meet their child's unique needs”.

Furthermore, they plan on banning abortion pills, which play a huge part in the abortion process itself. The week–after pill will not be covered by insurance, and hospitals that provide abortions will stop receiving funds.

The “project also suggests that the Department of Health and Human Services should ‘maintain a biblically based, social science-reinforced definition of marriage and family.’”. In simpler words, enforcing straight marriages and leaning away from the ideas of the LGBTQ+ community. This could also mean a ban on gender–affirmation surgery.

“ … the project proposes eliminating several terms from ‘every federal rule, agency regulation, contract, grant, regulation, and piece of legislation that exists’ including: ‘sexual orientation,’ ‘gender,’ ‘gender equality,’ ‘gender awareness,’ ‘gender-sensitive’ ‘abortion,’ ‘reproductive health,’ ‘reproductive rights,’ ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ and more.”

It also does not allow public education staff to use a name or pronouns contrary to what is on the student’s birth certificate without the parent’s permission. Moreover, teachers and staff are not required to call the child by their preferred pronoun. This may sound similar to the “Parental Rights in Education” bill passed in Florida. That’s because it is.

Housing and Economy

The plan states that food stamps and social welfare programs should be cut down, creating more eligibility for Medicaid. Student loans would not be forgiven, either.

The Housing Supply fund created by Biden will also be reversed, making affordable housing more scarce.

As we roll towards the election, it’s safe to say that many Democrats, women, and people of diverse backgrounds fear for their future. With an increased encouragement for censorship and lack of diversity is a decreasing secure future for many. If Trump wins, Project 2025 will turn America into a dictatorship in no time because power hungry men like him don’t like to lose.

With Kamal Harris' endorsement, Donald Trump will finally get a taste of his own medicine, so Democrats, get ready to win.

Oh, and one more thing:

Vote.
